Learn Photography
I have a Bachelor Fine Art Photography; Graduate Diploma of Teaching and ten years experience teaching photography to adults and teenagers.
In 2003, I alone set up the Photography department within The Willoughby Workshop Art Centre, in Sydney. By 2006 the six courses I taught each week were over-subscribed. Each had waiting lists due to a majority of repeat students wanting to return to try new classes.
Many of my previous students have since gone on to start successful photography businesses, or take careers within the photography industry.
I no longer run group classes, however, I can be booked for private photography tuition.
Lessons are for all levels and ages, and can be taught locally or internationally via the internet.
All lessons are tailored to students'
needs and learning speeds.

My Teaching Philosophy
Students complete studies feeling inspired, motivated and proud of themselves. I take my role as a teacher seriously, so that lessons aren't. I want you to enjoy the learning process, and have fun creating.
I aim for you to be taking fabulous photos as soon as possible, and to be able to repeat the process after lessons end.
Gift Packages
There are two “Getting Started with your Digital Camera” packages available to choose from. The prices quoted are the total tuition fee payable for groups of up 6 people:
Half Day Lesson Package (Four-hours)
The first two hours covers the camera’s buttons -understanding aperture, shutter, exposure, ISO settings. We take a few photos to apply the theory into practice. The second two hours we shoot, using all the camera settings, practicing what's been taught, and then receiving brief feedback to confirm everything covered has been understood.
Half Day Learning Package prices:
• £220 if lessons are in St John’s Wood, London; or delivered live, via the internet.
• £260 if I come to you, in London.
Full Day Lesson Package (Eight-hours)
Covers everything above, plus the following: Confident with how the camera works, now we get creative. You'll be taught composition and techniques. We'll discuss how to take great portraits, fabulous holiday snaps and night time-exposures. In addition to going on an excursion, you’ll be taught how to problem solve when your photos aren’t right, so that the quality of your photography keeps improving.
Full Day Learning Package prices:
• £450 in St John’s Wood, or via the internet.
• £540 in your office/home
Feedback-On-Your-Photos, booked after completing a package, are charged at:
• £40 per hour in St John’s Wood, or given live, via the internet.
• £50 per hour in your office/home
• £60 per hour for small group tutoring
Lessons scheduled for weekends incur an additional £30 flat fee, regardless of the duration booked.
